    Another whoa-its-been-forever-since-Ive-posted! post.

So like...I haven't blogged in forever, and last time I did it was pretty lame.  But certain things have been preventing my online, life. It's my last (real) semester, and even though I'm only taking 9 credit hours it's been pretty hardcore. As I type, there are two projects I shouold be working on--one, a ten-to-fifteen-page paper on a department store I'd never even heard of before having it assigned to me, and the other a location analysis for the boutique of a lace designer who is impossible to get in touch with.

Also, I got a new job...I sell shoes now.

The new job is commission-based, and if I don't make a lot in commission then I make minimum wage.  That kind of sucks.  The job, however, is pretty awesome.  And apparently I'm kind of kicking ass at it because my district manager told me a few days ago, "So, popular consensus is that you kick ass!"   And I'm, because pushing people to buy stuff to benefit myself was never really my thing.  Working in a (certain fast food) restaurant I was the one who hated the whole, "Hi!  Welcome to ____, would you like to try a ___ today?" or "Will that be large-sized?"  And now it's like, "Dude, both of those shoes look totally awesome on you; you should buy them both!  And some socks too, and how about this matching shirt?  Super cute!"  But evidently I'm good at making people feel good, because I've made more sales this week than any other part-timer there.  There's something strangely satisfying about being able to convince people to buy cool stuff.

This job is actually a big part of my graduating, since my internship requires a management-level position.  I have not yet attained this position, and I've been "kicking ass" in attempt to show them that I can do it.  I'm a go-getter, guys.

Also in Dawnland, my mom and youngest sister whom I haven't seen in ten-ish years will be coming to visit in less than a month!  So Brett and I have been attempting to come up with fun stuff for them (and us, since it will also be our scheduled vacation) to do here.  So far, we've only come up with a couple of things.  How have I gone living here for eleven years and never known that there is a beach less than an hour and a half away?!  We went to check it out and it's like...almost a real beach!  I forgot my camera (or thought I did, anyway) so I couldn't take any pictures, but I will definitely be taking some next time.
