New job!

So, I got this job (you might remember all of the blahs I went through while job-searching recently) with a company called WIS International.  The training day was yesterday, and I swear, it has to be the most relaxing job ever.  Maybe that's because my other jobs have always been service related (except for that one time when I was a telemarketer for six months, but I'm sure you can imagine how that went.  Actually, it was kind of fun, come to think of it...I wish that company was still around)  and this one is sort of in the background of the retail industry.  Basically what we do is count inventory for different companies, often in other cities and even states.  Even though I'm being paid slightly less than I am now, it seems like a good opportunity, a fun environment, and much, much less stress (hopefully.)

I haven't put in my two weeks yet at my current job.  Quite frankly, I'm a little nervous about the whole ordeal.  I was going to do it yesterday, then I was going to do it today, and here I am saying to myself that I will do it tomorrow.  Eh.

Speaking of tomorrow (what kind of segue is that?), Brett and I are going to hang out in Baton Rouge for the day.  Why?  I don't know; there really isn't much more in BR than there is here, but it's the idea of getting out of town and seeing something a little less...familiar.  Also, he got a GPS for Christmas so we're going to play with it; it's much less fun using a GPS in a town where you know where every thing is.  We will also be using the GPS to go geocaching tomorrow, so I may have some pictures up of that, if there are any exciting ones.  Last time we went geocaching in BR (before we had a GPS, even) we found a big box full of cockroaches in the middle of banana-spider-infested woods.  THAT would have been considered an exciting photo, had I had my camera that day.
