Renamed because my blog is broken

I guess I'm at this early twenties age (I refuse to consider myself to be in my mid-twenties until later this year when I am officially "mid-twenty") where I have a lot of friends and family who are in relationships, but not yet married.  This makes it really awkward when they announce that they are pregnant.

See, in high school, when someone gets pregnant everyone is all like, "omg! what are you going to do???" but growing up when someone who is married makes the same announcement it's, "Wow!  I'm so happy for you!"

So what do you do when it's someone unmarried in their early twenties?

A couple of months ago, it was my cousin.  In a Myspace message.  The message was "Hi cuz...I'm pregnet [sic]."  I didn't even reply because I didn't know how to!  First, I haven't seen her in ages.  I don't know what her status is, where she works, nothing really.

Yesterday it was a friend in one of my classes.  I know she's in a committed relationship, but last I heard they weren't doing all that great?  So I said, "No way! Really?"  But that's where I stopped, because I honestly couldn't tell whether she was happy about it or not.

Am I the only one who thinks this?  What do you guys do in this position?
