    Style role model

Wow, it's been over a week since my last update!

My entry today was going to be my top 5 list of style role models, but in the search for good pictures of each of them, I got totally sidetracked and ended up just looking at pictures of one.  So today, I present to you #1: Mary-Kate Olsen.

Okay, before you start getting all weird about the fact that I like Mary-Kate, please let me explain.  First off, I haven't seen an Olsen show/movie since Two of a Kind in the late 90s.  People like this who idolize Mary-Kate because she was (is?) anorexic/bulimic really creep me the fuck out.  When either of the Olsens open their mouths to speak all I can think of is:

    Olsen twins

...BUT.  I do like to see pictures of Mary-Kate on the street.  Of course she looks cute in photoshoot pictures and movies--everyone does.  It's different when celebrities are out and about, wearing their own clothes in their own style.  The reason I like Mary-Kate's [style] is because while it looks like she wakes up in the morning and just picks up random crap from her floor to wear for the day, it still looks intentional and put together.

It's sad the way she got into that illness, it's sadder how people worship it. Btw fully agree that some of her street styles are killer. she makes messy look nice.
